‘Big thank you to Twin Pines’

On August 29th Twin Pines graciously hosted a fund raiser for Living Water Mission (LWM), a local group that drills water wells, and helps feed the poor in Kenya.  

‘With the generous proceeds from this event, the Tecumseh Service Club will continue to help the less fortunate families in our community’

Thunder, lightning and a lot of rain could not stop the 15th Annual Bill and Sue Muk Open Golf Outing benefiting Tecumseh Service Club. Thank you to everyone that supported this event! Karin Mukenstrum of Muk’s Sports Pub started the tournament in memory of her special family members.

I am writing to express my support for Tecumseh Public Schools and the Tecumseh Public Schools Board of Education. I understand that a recall effort is underway to recall four of our School Board members and that these members will now be placed back on the ballot this November.

The State of Michigan is certainly resilient. After numerous economic downturns we always make a comeback, especially when the playing field is level. The State of Michigan is also somewhat unique.

Raisin Township supervisor, Dale Witt is mistaken that “a few residents were disappointed” about the recycling center being closed.

I have been asked many times why I chose to start the  Concerned Citizens Page of Tecumseh on Facebook and later become one of the many organizers of the recall.

‘DeVos’s proposal, to buy guns with money intended to provide counseling and other necessities for our neediest students, is foolish’

Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos suggested diverting money from the Student Support and Academic Enrichment program to purchase guns for schools.

In response to recent rollbacks of regulations by the Environmental Protection Agency, the General Council of the Adrian Dominican Sisters has issued the following statement:

‘Sexual abuse is a horrific crime, and the horror is so much worse when committed by persons in whom society has placed its trust and confidence’

Tecumseh High School Key Club would like to thank everyone who supported our event Breathe Easy on July 13th. With all of your help we were able to raise over $2,000 for the nonprofit organization Coping with Laryngomalacia.
