I am, as many others are, very concerned that there is no longer an inpatient mental health facility in Lenawee County. In June 2017, ProMedica decided to close the doors of its inpatient behavioral health unit indefinitely.

As a history buff, I can appreciate the reprinting of the Tecumseh Herald front page from 50 years ago. This past week’s reprint was a reminder of either how far we have come or how far we still need to go. What was ‘acceptable’ 50 years ago was offensive and still is.
