Tecumseh boys run 4th, girls 10th at regionals

TECUMSEH — Tecumseh’s varsity boys and girls track and field teams recently competed in Division 2 regional competition at Monroe Jefferson and the boys placed fourth while the girls finished 10th out of 15 teams. 
Jeff Case, Parker Hedrick, Eric Ries and Tommy Mammel placed second in the 3,200-meter to qualify for the state meet.  
Case finished first in the 800-meter (2:00.76). 
Payton Norkey placed second to qualify for the state meet in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.93 while Mitch Meger placed third in the 200-meter with a time of 22.74.    
For the girls, Christina Sawyer placed first in the 1,600-meter (5:08) and the 3,200-meter (11:01). 
Rachel Stockford placed third for the Indians to qualify for the state meet in the 800-meter with a personal best time of 2:24.
