Ann Arbor-based conservancy takes over land trust

Last November, the Raisin Valley Land Trust passed its conservation easements to the Ann Arbor-based Legacy Land Conservancy, and announced it would cease operations in the next year. The announcement was made on the organization’s Facebook page.

Wacker moving headquarters to Ann Arbor

Approximately 200 of the 500 employees of Wacker Chemical Corporation will be relocated to the company’s planned innovation center and regional headquarters to be created in Ann Arbor, moving almost half of the workforce out of Raisin Township, according to news reports of a public hearing Monday

Couple with shoe repair shop in Ann Arbor opens second location in Tecumseh

A hobby that grew has spawned two shoe and leather repair shops for a couple who moved to Tecumseh last October, and their newest store, Tecumseh Shoe Repair, opened Monday at 125 Herrick Park Dr.

Ragtime orchestra with local roots to perform in Ann Arbor

The River Raisin Ragtime Revue, a ragtime orchestra slated to hold its 6th Annual Ragtime Extravaganza in Ann Arbor on Saturday, Jan. 21, came to be when one of its founders wanted to make music more interactive for audiences.
