Last November, the Raisin Valley Land Trust passed its conservation easements to the Ann Arbor-based Legacy Land Conservancy, and announced it would cease operations in the next year. The announcement was made on the organization’s Facebook page.

Approximately 200 of the 500 employees of Wacker Chemical Corporation will be relocated to the company’s planned innovation center and regional headquarters to be created in Ann Arbor, moving almost half of the workforce out of Raisin Township, according to news reports of a public hearing Monday

The River Raisin Ragtime Revue, a ragtime orchestra slated to hold its 6th Annual Ragtime Extravaganza in Ann Arbor on Saturday, Jan. 21, came to be when one of its founders wanted to make music more interactive for audiences.
