The art department of Tecumseh High School has two upcoming events that will give the public a chance to enjoy both the art of students the week of May 15 and a concert to benefit the High School Sculpture Garden, which will have a grand opening event May 24.

Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA) will welcome country music singer and songwriter John King to the stage on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17. The Georgia native, who grew up in a little mountain town, discovered his attraction to music when his parents introduced him to it as a child.

For 35 years the Tecumseh Pops Orchestra (Pops), a group of local musicians, has entertained the community with a variety of music ranging from classical compositions, to contemporary works, to familiar pop songs. Their anniversary concert on Sunday, May 1, at 4 p.m.
