A house fire at 818 Stetson St. on Sunday, April 5, left the family of Josh and Morgan Lowery safe and unharmed, but with their home and possessions a total loss. Tecumseh Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at 11:15 a.m., assisted by the Clinton and Raisin Township Fire Departments.

A fire Friday, July 5 at a house at 416 N. Evans St. that held four apartments was determined arson, according to a press release from the Tecumseh Police Department. At approximately 4:45 a.m.

Tragedy struck in Raisin Township early Sunday morning where two young boys were caught in a building fire on Black Highway, between Valley and Sutton roads. Dalton Shank, 14, and Landin Caudill, 10, of Piqua, Ohio, were rushed by ambulance to C.S.

A devastating fire in Monday’s early hours gutted the historic house at 116 S. Evans St. that was home to longtime downtown businesses Grey Fox Floral, Tecumseh Coins, Michigan Wares, and Nettie’s Used Book Nook, run by residents Jan and Gary Fox.

On April 9, Crime Stoppers of Lenawee released a statement asking for the public’s help with information on a breaking and entering and arson fire at Grey Fox Floral and Tecumseh Coins that resulted in a total loss of the building the morning of April 8.

According to Tecumseh Police Department Dispatcher Monica Andrews, shortly before 9 a.m. on Thursday March 30, a man walking in the area of South Ottawa Street and Cummins Street notified the department of flames and smoke coming from a vacant building at 317 S. Ottawa St.

On the evening of January 17, Shawn and Sue Gerrity and their family lost their Raisin Township home to a fire, and have been living in an Adrian hotel while they wait for the insurance process to be completed.
