The February 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. has pushed the safety and security of Tecumseh Public Schools (TPS) students and employees into the thoughts of all who have ties to the district. Tecumseh Superintendent Dr. Kelly Coffin is chief among them.

Collaboration between the Downtown Development Authority and the art department at Tecumseh High School has led to a 16’ x 8’ mural for downtown Tecumseh.

A group of Tecumseh High School students are currently displaying their artwork at the Tecumseh District Library through March 30. The featured artists are students of Christine Obeid, who said she chose each piece featured in the show due to excellence.

Approximately 120 students staged a sit-in protest at Tecumseh High School (THS) on Tuesday, Nov. 24 to protest the termination of coaches Eddy Foley and Scott Norkey. Students said they were not given a reason as to why either coach was let go.
