Carnegie Studios hosts open house Saturday

Carnegie Studios at 304 W. Chicago Blvd. will hold an open house Saturday, Dec. 10 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. to showcase the work of the artists who make the historic building their creative home.

Art tour to feature multiple county stops

The county-wide, self-guided Lenawee Byways Art Tour, to be held Saturday and Sunday, October 7 and 8 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., will give participants a choice of when to visit any or all of the 20 locations of studios, galleries, sculptures and murals on the tour.

Mural selected for building alongside Market On Evans

A committee of artists and downtown merchants have selected a mural to be painted, starting as early as next week, on an unpainted cinderblock wall on a building that faces the Market on Evans.

Rain may have deterred participation at the first Plein Air in the Gardens event held at Hidden Lake Gardens (HLG) July 30 and 31, but five artists braved the stormy weather to set up easels and create works of art.

Carnegie Studios’ artists open for business

The seven artists of the Carnegie Library officially opened their gallery space for public viewing and sales on Saturdays in October to help with local holiday gift giving.
