Creating a quilt is a time-consuming, detailed, painstaking process, one that involves choosing a design and a variety of cloth, cutting each piece, sewing those pieces together, then adding batting, backing material, and finally, quilting the piece by sewing tiny stitches in various patterns.

The Tecumseh Historical Museum is like a scrapbook for the Tecumseh area, holding memories, mementos, and glimpses into the past. Now volunteers at the museum are getting ready to celebrate the city’s 200th birthday, and they’re starting early.

A plaque was installed recently at the Tecumseh Area Historical Museum in dedication of a carriage stone that was donated in 2010 by Dean and Jeanne Sheldon.
