Michigan school districts from Otsego County in the north to the Detroit area have taken steps to limit or prohibit cellphone usage by students during classroom time, citing the need to cut down on distractions and enhance safety.

School board reviews policies, summer projects

Discussion at Monday night’s school board meeting focused on school handbooks, policy changes, and work done over the summer to prepare for the start of the 2024-25 school year for Tecumseh Public Schools, which will kick off on Monday, Aug. 19.
