School board reviews policies, summer projects

Discussion at Monday night’s school board meeting focused on school handbooks, policy changes, and work done over the summer to prepare for the start of the 2024-25 school year for Tecumseh Public Schools, which will kick off on Monday, Aug. 19.

Solar energy projects dawning in county

Construction has begun on a solar farm on farmland off Bent Oak Highway in Adrian Township, which will eventually hold 71,928 solar panels that are estimated to power 4,000 homes with renewable energy.

At Monday night’s meeting the Tecumseh Public Schools Board of Education approved several items, including the 2023-24 school calendar, a door replacement project at the high school, and the cost of getting engineered drawings to properly replace the middle school boiler.

Council approves contract for local paving projects
