Make a Difference Day is opportunity to help

October 28 is Make a Difference Day. This day of service has been observed on the fourth Saturday in October since 1992. Across America, service projects range from food drives to building ramps and painting community murals. These projects are a diverse way to a common end: service to others.

I attended Tecumseh schools for K-12 and, in the spring, my daughter finished her first year at Tecumseh Acres with (the wonderful) Melissa Hilton.  It was very nostalgic to walk through the same kindergarten classroom door that I entered when I was five years old, and to see the same cubbies and
