TECUMSEH — Friday night was similar to the rest of Tecumseh's season.

A lot of points scored, a lot of points allowed and a lot of heartbreak.

Tecumseh fell 46-41 to Clarenceville on the Indians’ homecoming night in a game that featured three lead changes in the final 3 minutes.

During Tecumseh’s struggles, Indians coach Jerry Nowak kept telling his players they would be OK as long as they peaked at the right time.

Then, the one-win team came out of the gate in districts and played what he called its best half of the season Wednesday against Chelsea.

Clinton saw its season end Wednesday, falling 2-1 at Onsted in the first round of the District 37 tournament in Division 3.

The Wildcats (11-7-1) scored three minutes into the game and led 2-0 at halftime.

Clinton crushed Dundee on Friday, jumping ahead 22-0 by halftime en route to a 35-0 home win.

The Vikings (4-3) had much momentum entering the matchup, riding a three-game winning streak in which they outscored opponents 94-24 combined.

Tecumseh sent no one to state at Division 3’s Regional 20 meet Wednesday at Ann Arbor Greenhills.

The Indians picked up two wins at the meet for two team points, which tied them for sixth in the standings.

Tecumseh’s girls golf season ends in regionals

Tecumseh played its best golf of the season Wednesday, but it wasn’t enough to advance past regionals at Calderone Golf Club in Grass Lake.

The Indians shot a season-best 417 team score to place sixth in the Region 17 girls golf meet, three spots away from qualifying.
