Sexton is that confident after stepping onto football’s biggest stage for the first time in August, playing NFL preseason games for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Tecumseh equestrian team clinches 1st state bid since 2006

The Tecumseh equestrian team secured a regional championship in a three-day meet that ended Sunday at Ingham County Fairgrounds.

The Indians will compete in the state meet for the first time since 2006.

Nico Johnson scored eight touchdowns to guide Britton Deerfield to a 68-0 home win against Webberville on Friday.

Johnson completed all nine of his passes for 283 yards and five touchdowns. He also rushed for 104 yards and two TDs on three carries and scored on a 74-yard kick return.

Clinton gradate Austin Fauser was named a 2021 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar in August.

Fauser is a junior for the NCAA Division II Maryville University golf team.

Nico Johnson scored five touchdowns to lead Britton Deerfield to a 54-16 home win over Oakland Christian on Saturday.

Johnson tallied 352 total yards, with 251 on 21 rushes and 101 on 5-of-8 passing.
