Lenawee United Hockey sweeps Whitmer, Ohio Panthers, 6-0

ADRIAN — The Lenawee United Hockey varsity opened their inaugural regular season Friday, Nov. 22 with a resounding 6-0 win over the Whitmer (Ohio) Panthers at Arrington Ice Arena on the Adrian College campus.

Lenawee United Hockey, the first ever county-based high school ice hockey varsity co-op team, will open the 2019-20 regular season Friday, Nov. 22 at Arrington Ice Arena on the campus of Adrian College.

Ken Richard earns state 2019 Girls High School Bowling Coach of the Year

On Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, at the Lansing Ramada Inn and Conference Center, Ken Richard, varsity coach of the Tecumseh High School girls bowling team, earned the 2019 Girls High School Bowling Coach of the Year award. It was given by the Michigan High School Coaches Association (MHSCA).

First county high school hockey team plays preseason scrimmage

Area runners compete at state cross country finals

Kaitlin Knape of Tecumseh finished 37th at the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 2 state cross country finals at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday.

She helped the Indians finish 10th in their first appearance at the state finals as a team. 

Britton Deerfield football team advances to district finals

Britton Deerfield’s matchup against Detroit Public Safety Academy was a very muddy contest between two great teams, with Britton Deerfield coming into the playoffs 5-4 and Detroit Public Safety coming in at 4-5.

Tecumseh falls in regional soccer semifinal match

The Tecumseh boys’ varsity soccer team said goodbye to five seniors last Wednesday night.

Unfortunately, it was following the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 2 regional semifinal.

The Indians lost 3-1 to Melvindale at The Meadows Stadium at Novi. 

BD finishes regular season with a win

The Britton Deerfield football team hosted the Madison Trojans Friday, Oct. 25 for the final regular season game. The Patriots came away with the victory with a score of 40-14. 

THS girls CC regional champs

Area cross country state qualifiers:

On October 26, THS girls cross country competed at Lake Erie Metro Park and came home as MHSAA Division II regional champions, qualifying the team for state.

District boys soccer finals at Adrian’s field were exciting Thursday, Oct. 17 as Tecumseh came out playing very tenacious defensively, and working as hard as they have all season.
