It’s October, and that means that Tecumseh’s Appleumpkin Festival will soon bring a plethora of fall fun and activities to the downtown area. This, the 29th year of the event, will provide plenty of things to do and see Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 14 and 15.

In a year where so many festivals have cancelled, Appleumpkin Festival visitors and vendors are looking forward to the yearly festival in Tecumseh, set for October 10 and 11. The goal for the Appleumpkin planning team is to make the festival fun and safe for everyone participating.

For the 39th year, Kapnick Orchards, 4245 Rogers Hwy., Britton, will hold its annual Apple Festival, featuring craft booths, a petting zoo, wagon rides, cider and apple butter production, live entertainment and a variety of food on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct.

The 23rd Annual Appleumpkin Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 8 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 9 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. in downtown Tecumseh. Festival organizers anticipate more than 28,000 will attend to take in the many facets of this fall event.
