The Tecumseh Planning Commission gave the green light to plans for a Dollar General store on a vacant lot at 511 N. Evans St. in a 5-1 decision following a public hearing Tuesday night at City Hall.

A bump of $70,000 in state sources of revenue gave Tecumseh Public Schools extra cushion in its bottom line for 2016-17. The Tecumseh Board of Education on Monday voted to approve the final revision of the 2016-17 general fund budget along with the 2017-18 preliminary budget.
