The phrase “food insecurity” started appearing in the lexicon of developed nations in the 1990s, primarily in the U.S. Coined by politicians and policy wonks, the phrase was thought to better describe what used to be known simply as “hunger.”

Lenawee Community Foundation distributes $125,000

In January, the Lenawee Community Foundation (LCF) received a grant of $124,865 from the Michigan Health Endowment Fund (MHEF) to support initiatives focused on youth and seniors in the community.
