A decision by ProMedica to limit its employees’ choice of pharmacies will have a negative effect on local pharmacy businesses, in essence, biting the hand of at least one local pharmacist who has financially supported the nonprofit for many years.

Tecumseh City Council approved a 2017 Health Care Benefit Plan for city non-union employees at Monday night’s regular meeting with two letters of agreement for city employees who are in the International Union of Operating Engineers and Police Officers Labor Council.

Tecumseh City Council approved the 2016 employee health insurance cost sharing plan with the Police Officers Labor Council and the Operating Engineer Unions Monday. The plan also applies to all non-union city employees eligible to receive health insurance.
