Kelly Jo Gilmore has been appointed as Tecumseh’s next Economic Development Director. Gilmore’s appointment was announced by City Administrator Dan Swallow at the Tecumseh City Council meeting Monday night.

The Michigan Avian Experience (MAE), a nonprofit organization, visited Tecumseh High School on January 5. The organization is focused on education programs with the use of injured birds which are not releasable back into the wild due to their conditions.

Tecumseh City Council voted 5-2 Monday to confirm the appointment of Kelly Jo Gilmore to head up Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA) as director. The timing of the appointment was unannounced and came as a surprise to the public.
