The new state of the art, 32,000 square-foot YMCA on North Adrian Highway is set to open at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, after years of planning and months of construction just north of the newly-opened ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital.

The Village of Onsted is experiencing some turmoil as a result of a proposed Dollar General store on a lot immediately south of the village’s lone grocery store, with residents and business owners up in arms in response to what they see as a threat to their small community.
