A major renovation and construction project recommended by the Building Futures Committee was the main topic of discussion at the Tecumseh Public Schools Board of Education meeting Monday night, and ultimately the board voted unanimously to approve the proposal’s addition to the May ballot.

A major $25 million redevelopment project has been proposed for the former Tecumseh Products property that could transform the blighted 55-acre site. If realized, zoning use would change from industrial to mix-use including the addition of retail, professional and light industrial space.
