Shirley Luann Van Benschoten of Tecumseh passed away on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024 at the Hospice of Lenawee Home in Adrian, Mich. She was born March 25, 1953, in Lenawee County, Mich., the daughter of the late Edward and Thelma (Ashenfelter) Martin.

Thomas Walter Woodward, of Jasper, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2024, while surrounded by his family at the ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Tom was born on November 6, 1949, in Adrian, the third oldest of Clinton and Helen (Sallows) Woodward’s five children.

Steven “Steve” Sailus, of Tecumseh, Mich., passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning at the age of 65, presumably unaware that his beloved Wolverines were going to pull off a shock upset against USC later that afternoon.

Margaret (Mugs) Touborg Klapperich, 89, a resident of Naples, Fla. and formerly of Winnetka, Ill. died peacefully on September 4, 2024. She was raised in Tecumseh, Mich. and attended Albion College where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.

George Holland Sutherland, age 86, passed away at home on September 14, 2024. He was born September 18, 1937, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Charles F. and Jean (Sain) Sutherland. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joanne (Scroggins) Sutherland.

Donna Jean Lamson age 86, passed away at Adrian Bay Rehab and Nursing Center on September 16, 2024 with her sister at her side. She was born June 20, 1938, in Tecumseh, Mich., to the late William Simon and Margaret Isabelle (Rogers) Lamson.

Cynthia K. Durkee, of Ypsilanti and formerly of Tecumseh, died August 23, 2024, in Ypsilanti at age 73. Cynthia was born on August 18, 1951, in Jackson, Mich., the daughter of Royce and Betty (Wescott) Durkee. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Roy Waycaster, age 82, of Tecumseh, left his earthly home on August 25, 2024, under the care of Hospice of Lenawee and several family members. He was born on July 30, 1942, in Roan Mountain, Tenn. to Robert and Blanche (Isaacs) Waycaster.

Cynthia Diane Nolan (Cindy) passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 6:10 pm. Heaven will enjoy her company! Cindy was born in Detroit, Mich. on December 20, 1947 to Lyle Meech and Norma (Martinelli) and was raised in Roseville, Mich.
