For the City of Tecumseh’s Department of Public Works, winter is a busy time, filled with snow plowing, tree cutting, maintenance and more. The crew of six, including superintendent Troy Rohrbach, has many responsibilities that keep the city humming during cold weather.

Three separate plans for Tecumseh Public Schools (TPS) reorganization presented by Superintendent Rick Hilderley at Monday night’s board meeting, and a lengthy discussion by school board members, brought the district closer to a decision on how and where students will be taught next school year.

Every year Tecumseh Service Club brings the community together at Christmas, connecting those who need help with those who can give help. This year 122 families with over 300 children will have a happier holiday thanks to businesses and community members providing food and presents.

It’s December and the holiday season in Tecumseh kicks off with the annual Candlelight Christmas Tour this weekend. Although the annual event is coordinated by the Promenade Tecumseh Committee, the focus is a little different than the Promenade of Homes tour in May.
