The Tecumseh Wrestling Team will be making its third straight appearance as one of the Division 2 elite eight teams to compete at the quarterfinals in Kalamazoo on Friday. Six individuals will head to Ford Field to compete for the individual state championship title.

The Tecumseh Wrestling Team was crowned Division 2 district champions for the 17th straight time, beating the Adrian Maples 64-10 on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at Adrian.

The Tecumseh High School gymnasium was buzzing on Friday, Feb. 1. Not since 1991 when the Indians took on Detroit Country Day and their future Michigan Fab Five and National Basketball Association star Chris Webber, had Indian fans seen a top college recruit in action. This time it was at home.

The Lady Indian Basketball Team had two big victories, despite having six days off with no practice. They beat Lincoln on Friday, Feb. 1, 47-12 and held on to beat Jackson, 49-46 on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

Tecumseh Wrestling Coach AJ Marry along with Tecumseh and Clinton grapplers picked up titles at the Lenawee County All-Star Wrestling Tournament on Friday, Jan. 25 at Adrian College’s Merillat Sport and Fitness Center.

It was Senior Night for the Tecumseh Wrestling Team on Wednesday, Jan. 16, and the Indians didn’t disappoint as they polished off both Ann Arbor Skyline and Monroe in Southeastern Conference league play. They also placed four grapplers in tournament play during the past week.

The Britton Deerfield Girls Basketball Team squeaked by their neighboring Tri-County Conference rivals Clinton in a close game during action on Thursday, Jan. 17 in Britton. The final score was 43-40.
