When Elizabeth Wilson passed away in March 2001, her friend and neighbor, Theresa Powers, took on the responsibility of managing the Elizabeth Ruthruff Wilson Foundation that Wilson set up in 1997 at the age of 92.

At 6 a.m. on September 24, 2020, the doors of the new ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital opened on North Adrian Highway as both Herrick Hospital in Tecumseh and Bixby Hospital in Adrian closed their emergency rooms and ceased to operate.

This year is the 60th anniversary of Sunderland Insurance, a fixture in downtown Tecumseh. Mike and Colleen Sunderland continued the work started by Mike’s parents, Don and Mary Lou, which, beyond insurance, focuses on community support and participation.

A 50th anniversary celebration for Tecumseh High School’s (THS) varsity wrestling program scheduled to take place on Wednesday during a home wrestling meet changed its designation to a 60th anniversary event after a letter to the editor sent to The Tecumseh Herald clarified history.
