City manager seeks new job in Monroe

Tecumseh might soon lose its city manager to Monroe.

Dan Swallow, who has served as city manager since 2015, confirmed on Tuesday he was one of three candidates for the top spot in the city known as the home of General George Armstrong Custer and the La-Z-Boy recliner.

Tecumseh City Manager Dan Swallow confirmed Monday that he would have a job interview the next day for his same position in the City of Rochester.

Swallow has held his current position for more than six years.

Dan Swallow, recently appointed city manager of Tecumseh, is working with the city council to determine priorities for 2016. Swallow was the former director of economic and community development for Monroe before accepting the city manager position in November.
