Local libraries celebrate freedom to read during National Banned Books Week

From classics like “The Great Gatsby” to modern favorites like “The Handmaid’s Tale,” books that have sparked controversy and conversations about censorship are being celebrated at the Tecumseh District Library and Clinton Township Public Library during Banned Books Week, October 5-11.

Couple arrested for overdue books at local library
