Tecumseh High School will proudly welcome the community on the evenings of May 5-8 for the annual Tecumseh Public Schools (TPS) Art Show, inviting visitors to explore an expansive showcase of student artwork that highlights the imagination, talent, and artistic accomplishments of young artists.

The media center at Tecumseh High School looks different than it has in years past, with many fewer books, empty bookshelves, and chairs where some library “stacks” once stood.

At the last reunion luncheon Barbara Retan and Norma Binns organized, just four of their classmates were able to make it and only three others responded to their invites. Retan said it’s because they are procrastinators.

The art department of Tecumseh High School has two upcoming events that will give the public a chance to enjoy both the art of students the week of May 15 and a concert to benefit the High School Sculpture Garden, which will have a grand opening event May 24.

In spite of a delay of several weeks, Tecumseh High School’s graduation of the class of 2020 on Sunday, July 19 was a spectacular and creative event that honored the school’s seniors while practicing safe social distancing.
