The Tecumseh Board of Education learned how the long winter and loss of 39 students may affect this year’s budget and was presented the preliminary financial plan for fiscal year 2018-19 during the study session Monday, May 14 before the regular board meeting.

Tecumseh City Council passed a resolution on Tuesday to amend the city’s 2016-17 budget for the general fund from $5,240,872 to $5,394,355 following unexpected revenues during the last six months. The city is currently halfway through the fiscal year, which runs July 1 through June 30.
