After 36 years on the Boulevard, Dan and Barb Hacker of Hacker Jewelers, Designers and Goldsmiths, Inc. have been a fixture in downtown Tecumseh. Shoppers became more than casual customers and more like friends, which made the decision to retire a bittersweet one for Dan and Barb.

ProMedica Health System announced it will close its 10-bed inpatient psychiatric unit at Herrick Hospital by June 30. The health system will continue to provide crisis intervention services to area patients at Herrick’s and Bixby’s emergency departments.
