Neighbors of Hope will bring back the laughs this spring as they host their 3rd Annual Comedy Night. The live comedy event is planned to feature Taylor Mason, a nationally renowned ventriloquist, musician, and stand-up comedian.

Neighbors of Hope, a Christian nonprofit that serves homeless and other at-risk populations, put on their first comedy show with Jeff Allen in 2019 to resounding success with more than 500 tickets sold, almost filling the Tecumseh Center for the Arts.

The Neighbors of Hope (NOH) Women’s and Children’s Ministry Center located at 502 E. Pottawatamie St. officially opened with a ribbon cutting August 13, and in just three months the transitional housing program has been actively changing the lives of the women and children residing there.

The new Women and Children’s Ministry Center created at the former Herrick Manor nursing home by Neighbors of Hope (NOH) will hold an open house with tours of the facility Saturday, Aug. 10 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The planned shelter for women and children, to be opened in the vacant Herrick Manor building attached to ProMedica Herrick Hospital, is still awaiting a closing date to finalize the transaction between ProMedica and nonprofit Neighbors of Hope (NOH) before necessary renovations can begin.

A unanimous decision by Tecumseh City Council on January 15 approved a zoning request by Neighbors of Hope (NOH), a faith-based, Christ-centered nonprofit organization, opening the door for plans for a women’s and children’s homeless shelter at the former Herrick Manor owned by ProMedica.
