Long before HGTV, Amie Pelham was helping people reimagine their living spaces.

“I didn’t start out with a plan to be a designer,” said Pelham, who grew up in Hudson.

After high school, she went to Central Michigan University where she majored in teacher education.

Plans for a 30,000 square foot addition to the Ervin Industries plant at 200 Industrial Drive in the city’s industrial park off Russell Road were approved by the Tecumseh Planning Commission following a public hearing on Tuesday.
