The River Raisin is approximately 150 miles long, a watershed that travels through parts of the Michigan counties of Lenawee, Monroe, Washtenaw, Jackson, and Hillsdale, and a portion of Fulton County, Ohio.

In June 2010 Michael Wigge left Berlin, Germany on a quest to travel for free to Antarctica, spending 150 days on a journey through 11 countries. He met his goal in November of that year after more than 100 people helped him along the way, providing transportation, food, and places to sleep.
