The Red Mill Pond Dam rehabilitation project is on track and scheduled to be completed by the end of July. However, the owners of 121 parcels in the Red Mill Pond’s Special Assessment District now will have to pay a portion of the $1.7 million project.

Thanks to the July approval of NextEra Energy’s Beecher Solar project by the Raisin Charter Township Planning Commission, the township is set to benefit from the decision to the tune of $400,000.

The Village of Clinton’s Tate Park River Raisin Trail Extension project has been chosen to receive $150,000 from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in the form of a grant from Recreation Passport funds, and other park improvements will be boosted by additional DNR grant funds.
