The combination of a drive-thru pizza vending machine, a lounge, spa services, and a podiatrist office may not seem like they fit together, but Dr. Darryl Martins knows how to make them work after operating Martini Spa and Lounge at 100 S. Cooper St. in Jackson since January 2020.

Student expelled for bringing axe to school

On the same night Superintendent Rick Hilderley reported to the school board on the recent threat made by a student regarding the December 4 winter formal dance, the board voted to permanently expel another student for bringing an axe to school in early November.

Police offer little information on drive-by shooting

On Friday, Dec. 10 at 9:28 p.m. the Tecumseh Police Department announced on social media that the department was investigating a drive-by shooting earlier that evening in the 400 block of West Cummins Street.

The wait is over for one of Tecumseh’s favorite restaurants. Brownies House of Pizza reopened to the public on December 7 for takeout orders only and is under new ownership by Carlos and Robert Marogi.
