A large-scale drug operation was busted in an early morning raid on Tuesday, Dec. 11, that netted significant quantities of narcotics, including pure cocaine that Prosecutor Burke Castleberry said “you don’t see very often” in Lenawee County.

Setting up a marijuana-based business in Tecumseh will become officially prohibited beginning on December 13 following the second reading of an ordinance adopted by city council on Monday. The decision was unanimous.

An interim city attorney was appointed at Monday’s Tecumseh City Council meeting where it was announced that Scott Baker had resigned from the position citing personal reasons.
Baker has served as city attorney since 2010 following Laura Schaedler.
