Last week President Trump started a North American trade war by imposing 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico. This surprised some since he only imposed a 10% tariff on China, who is not our ally and represents a far greater threat.

The overwhelming generosity of the people of Tecumseh helped provide joy to children in need through Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts this season. Across the U.S., the Samaritan’s Purse project collected 10.5 million shoebox gifts in 2024.

After an outstanding 30 years of service in education and coaching, Mr. Nito Ramos has announced his retirement from Clinton Community Schools, effective Friday, Jan. 17. Mr. Ramos has accepted a new opportunity as the men’s and women’s golf coach at Siena Heights University.

In the November 7, 2024 issue of the Herald, you had a front-page article about the Kiwanis nut sales, which I assumed meant the sale of an “edible” product, not a “crazy” sale.
