TECUMSEH — Tecumseh lost Friday, but hasn’t lost faith.
The Indians (1-2) spoke optimistically after falling 55-28 against Pinckney in their Southeastern Conference opener, which was highly-contested until it got away from Tecumseh in the final minute of the third quarter.

Senior captain Marissa Pasha led the Indians to victory against the Ypsilanti Grizzlies Friday night, with a double-double. She had 13 points and 15 rebounds.

August 24 is the official staring date for the Michigan Athletic Association’s varsity football season; however, Tecumseh High School’s players have been preparing all summer long for Thursday and Friday night games under the lights.

Referees were kept busy throwing yellow flags in Tecumseh’s varsity football season opener at Adrian College on Thursday, Aug. 25, but the Indians overcame their opening-game jitters and defeated Harper Woods Chandler Park 15-14.

It was a three-and-out Saturday for Tecumseh’s varsity volleyball team with the Indians defeating Columbia Central 25-17, 25-20 and 25-22 for the Class B district title at Adrian High School on November 7.
