Mary Catherine “Kate” Lapham of Saline, formerly of Tecumseh and St. Louis, passed away Saturday, May 2, at the Saline Evangelical Home, where she had been a resident since 2017.

Barbara Mae Siedel was born in Deerfield, Mich., on January 7, 1938. She was the only child born from the union of Guy Francis Siedel and Bernice Mae (Rusling) Siedel. She attended Britton High School, graduating with the Class of 1955.

Twenty-five trees have homes in the Wind Dancer subdivision thanks to many volunteers! More than 20 community members showed up with shovel in hand on Saturday, May 2. The city received a Great Lakes Restoration Initiative grant that will provide 75 new trees.

Books from the last ten years are always welcome as donations for the book sale and can be dropped at the library circulation desk. Proceeds support library programming and activities.
