Enough valid signatures were collected to force a special election for four Tecumseh School Board members. On Tuesday, Lenawee County Clerk Roxann Holloway certified that, despite several hundred invalid signatures, the minimum number was attained.

The Tecumseh Board of Education voted in June to give Superintendent Dr. Kelly Coffin a 5 percent salary increase and extended her contract one year to June 30, 2021. The vote was 6-1, with Lori Spotts abstaining. Spotts had been appointed earlier that night to fill the spot vacated by Dr.
