The Reach for the Sky Canopy Walk at Hidden Lake Gardens opened to the public on June 20, and since then the new feature high in the trees has been a boon for the 755-acre arboretum and botanical garden.

A proposal for a gravel pit off South Occidental Highway near Gady Road was tabled by the Raisin Township Planning Commission Tuesday night after commissioners determined the applicant, Philip DeLuca of Lucky Strike Sand and Gravel, LLC needed to fill in some blanks on the site plan.
