Seventeen-year-old Mackenzie Guenther, a junior in Christine Obeid’s photography class at Tecumseh High School, was given a glimpse into history when her foster grandfather, Dan Higgins, showed her the contents of small metal tins that once belonged to his father.

City manager seeks new job in Monroe

Tecumseh might soon lose its city manager to Monroe.

Dan Swallow, who has served as city manager since 2015, confirmed on Tuesday he was one of three candidates for the top spot in the city known as the home of General George Armstrong Custer and the La-Z-Boy recliner.
