A plaque was installed recently at the Tecumseh Area Historical Museum in dedication of a carriage stone that was donated in 2010 by Dean and Jeanne Sheldon.

Business for Tecumseh Township is routine, with roadwork and elections taking primary focus in 2016. Township Supt. Roy Schlegel said above all, the majority of township funds will be used to upgrade the condition of the roads.

On January 1, 1947, local Tecumseh girl Marda Gene Duncan’s life changed forever. A cheerleader who was involved in multiple scholastic activities, Marda Gene loved to write, as shown by her position as editor of Senior Echoes, the school newspaper.

Throughout Tecumseh, there are multiple things residents can do to ring in the New Year. Evans Street Station, Tecumseh Brewery, Ten Pin Bowling Alley and Embers Bar and Grill all have holiday events where patrons can toast the end of 2015 and welcome the beginning of 2016.
