David Pray, superintendent of Clinton Community Schools (CCS) was playing ice hockey in 2007 when, without warning, he went into sudden cardiac arrest. The ice rink had an automated external defibrillator (AED) onsite.

When a Monroe County woman became homeless, she wondered what would happen to her best friend. When the weather was getting colder last fall, the woman refused to enter the homeless shelters because she was afraid to lose her dog, a small Pomeranian named Lady Bug.

Film fans will gather at Tecumseh Center for the Arts (TCA) on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. to watch the creations of up-and-coming filmmakers at the Cabin Fever Film Festival. Nine independent short films have been selected for the third annual festival.

Congregation members from Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and First Presbyterian Church went head-to-head on January 27 during a chili cook off to raise money for Kids Against Hunger, a charitable organization that packages food for starving children.

The Michigan Press Association (MPA) announced the winners of the 2015 MPA Awards on Friday, Jan. 29. The Tecumseh Herald and Homefront magazine received a total of nine awards, including first place for Homefront.

The City of Tecumseh is collecting bottled water donations from January 29 through February 8 to aid Flint residents. Cases of bottled water can be dropped off at the Tecumseh Fire Department at 101 E. Russell Road from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A group of Tecumseh High School students are currently displaying their artwork at the Tecumseh District Library through March 30. The featured artists are students of Christine Obeid, who said she chose each piece featured in the show due to excellence.
